Mars — your ruler — is standing across the sky from Pluto right now, and the power you thought you had over this situation is about to meet the power that actually runs it. Do you know which side you're really on?
Your ruler Mars sits at 9° Leo, locked in a wide but live opposition with Pluto retrograde in Aquarius — a face-off between will and hidden leverage, performance and transformation. Mars is also holding a tight trine to Saturn retrograde in Aries (1°), lending it discipline, while the Waxing Crescent Moon in Sagittarius opposes Uranus exactly — meaning the emotional atmosphere is crackling with something that refuses to stay predictable. Mercury is already home in your sign, sharpening your perception of all of it.
Mars in Leo wants to be seen doing the thing — bravely, visibly, with full credit. Pluto retrograde in Aquarius doesn't care about credit. It cares about who controls the levers underneath the performance. The opposition between them, even at six degrees, is the friction you've been feeling when your ambition runs into something that won't budge — a structure, a person, a system that has more history in this situation than you'd like to acknowledge. This isn't a warning to retreat. It's an invitation to stop confusing display with power.
Here is where the Saturn trine quietly saves you: Mars trine Saturn means the force you're bringing today has form. You're not just pushing — you're pushing with architecture. Whatever conflict the Mars-Pluto axis stirs up, you have more staying power than the moment feels like. The trap would be to get dramatic when the situation calls for precision. Pluto retrograde rewards whoever is willing to go deeper, not louder.
Mercury in Scorpio is a real asset right now. You see the subtext. You hear the thing beneath the thing being said. Use that. The Moon in Sagittarius opposing Uranus at nearly exact wants to blow the roof off something — and there's real liberation in that impulse — but let your Mercury-in-Scorpio discernment choose the timing. The moment you speak from sight rather than reaction is the moment this face-off tips in your direction.
The Venus-Mars square in your chart right now says someone wants something from you that you haven't fully named yet — get honest about whether your hesitation is wisdom or self-protection.
Mars trine Saturn gives your ambitions real traction today, but the Mars-Pluto opposition reminds you that durable results require you to deal with whoever actually holds institutional power, not just whoever is most visible.
You are at your sharpest when you trust what you perceive without editing it for palatability — Mercury in your sign is a gift, not a threat.
““"Mars is the planet of courage and strife; when he faces Pluto, the underground forces of the chart are summoned to the surface, and the native must decide whether to be the hunter or the hunted."””
TranslationEbertin is pointing at exactly what's live in your sky today — this opposition is less about external conflict and more about which part of your own nature gets to lead. The hunter knows the terrain; start there.
Before you respond to the situation that has been circling your mind today, write one sentence naming the actual power dynamic at play — not who is wrong, not what you feel, just who holds what and why; read it twice before you act.
