The Sun and Mercury are fusing at exactly 12° Scorpio right now — not metaphorically, not approximately, *exactly* — and the thought you've been circling for weeks just became a word you can't un-know. You don't know yet whether what's crystallizing is clarity or a confession.
The Sun and Mercury meet in a cazimi — an exact conjunction at 12° Scorpio, with Mercury retrograde — meaning your mind and your core identity are fused in the deep-water sign today, burning off fog and forcing things to the surface. The Waning Crescent Moon sits at 15° Virgo, sextiling both the Sun and Mercury, lending a quiet, discerning quality to whatever surfaces — this isn't a shout, it's a precise recognition. Your ruler Mars at 20° Leo is still building toward Jupiter and receiving a sextile from Venus in Libra, keeping the current of desire and ambition warm underneath the stillness.
A cazimi — the moment Mercury sits inside the heart of the Sun — is one of astrology's oldest marks of clarity. The medieval astrologers called it a planet 'in the heart of the king,' elevated rather than burned, briefly untouchable. Today that happens in Scorpio, a sign that doesn't do surface truths, and it happens with Mercury retrograde: so this isn't a new thought arriving. It's an old one finally becoming legible. Something you've been trying to articulate — to yourself, maybe to someone else — just came into focus at a cellular level. Notice what you almost said out loud this morning.
The Virgo Moon sextiling this conjunction gives you a gift most Aries rarely ask for: discernment before action. You don't have to do anything with this clarity today. You can simply witness it, name it privately, write it down in language precise enough to be useful later. The Moon in Virgo is asking you to be the analyst of your own revelation, not the soldier immediately charging toward it.
Mars building toward Jupiter in Leo is still live — that conjunction doesn't perfect for another few degrees, and Venus retrograde is still softening the edges of what you want. What today is doing, with unusual precision, is clarifying the *what* before the *how* arrives. The thing you've been circling? You now know what it actually is. The moves come later. Today the knowing is enough.
Venus retrograde in Libra sextiling Mars means an unresolved desire is still warm, but the cazimi asks you to name what you actually want before you reach for it.
The Sun-Mercury fusion in Scorpio sharpens your read on a professional situation you've been second-guessing — trust the precise thought that surfaces today over the noise around it.
A Waning Crescent in Virgo is a quiet moon for a reason: this is a moment to receive insight, not manufacture urgency, and that distinction is doing a lot of work for you right now.
““A planet combust is weakened, but one cazimi — in the very heart of the Sun — is thereby fortified and elevated above its ordinary condition.””
TranslationLilly's point isn't poetic decoration: the cazimi was considered a genuine upgrade in the planet's power. Today Mercury isn't burned by the Sun — it's clarified by it. What your mind produces right now carries more authority than usual, not less.
Write one sentence — just one — that names the thing you've been circling, as plainly and honestly as you can, and keep it somewhere only you will see it.
