Mars — your ruler, sitting at 9° Leo — is being pulled into direct opposition with Pluto right now, and the power you think you're holding might already have changed hands without your knowing it. You don't know yet whether you're the force in this face-off or the thing being forced.
Your ruler Mars sits at 9° Leo in an exact trine to Saturn retrograde in your own sign — a rare moment of disciplined, load-bearing strength. At the same time, Mars is stretching across the sky toward Pluto in Aquarius, a slow opposition that asks whether the power you've been wielding belongs to you or to something much older and less visible. The Sun in Libra is in an almost exact sextile to Jupiter in Leo, casting a warm, expansive light on whatever you're building — but that Pluto opposition is the undercurrent the light doesn't reach.
There's a version of today where everything looks fine. Sun sextile Jupiter is the most generous aspect in the solar toolkit — it opens rooms, softens gatekeepers, makes effort feel worth it. The Moon in Sagittarius trines that same Jupiter, and your optimism isn't unfounded; the sky really is offering you a wider horizon. Take that seriously. Don't perform modesty about it.
But the Mars-Pluto opposition isn't here to ruin the party — it's here to ask you a harder question underneath the party: who is actually running this? Pluto in Aquarius retrograde is the pressure of institutional, collective, systemic force — the things that were true long before you showed up and will be true long after. Mars in Leo wants to be the protagonist. What today is surfacing is whether the will you've been leading with is genuinely yours, or a script handed to you by a force you've never fully examined. That's not a threat. That's the most useful question power can ask itself.
The exact Mars trine Saturn retrograde is your structural advantage today. Saturn in your sign, even in retrograde, is building you a spine — real accountability, not performance. Use it. If the Mars-Pluto tension brings a confrontation, a negotiation, or a moment where someone tests your authority, the trine to Saturn means you don't have to posture. You can simply hold. The most Aries move today isn't the loudest one — it's the one that doesn't flinch.
Venus retrograde in Scorpio squaring your Mars means desire is real but the terms are still being rewritten — don't lock anything in today that you'd need to undo later.
The Sun-Jupiter sextile is as close to a green light as the sky gives, but the Mars-Pluto opposition warns that a power dynamic at work deserves a second, unsentimental look before you act on it.
The Mars trine Saturn exact today is a gift: you have the discipline to match the fire right now — use it to finish something you've been restarting.
““Mars well-aspected gives courage and executive ability; afflicted, it may bring conflict with authorities or those who hold power.””
TranslationToday Mars carries both descriptions at once — the trine to Saturn is the 'well-aspected' executive, the opposition to Pluto is the 'authority' test. You get to decide which Mars shows up.
Before you respond to anyone who challenges your authority or autonomy today, pause for one full breath and ask: 'Is this my fight, or something I inherited?' — then choose deliberately.
